"this city, indelible from the memory, is like a frame or grid, in whose sections everyone can file what they want to remember."
italo calvino [invisible cities]
based on the concept "adaption" spatial graphics were designed. the 60.000 graphical elements were then manually transferred to walls - glossy white reliefs on matt white surfaces.
a tangible adaptive system, seemingly well-known by everyone, is visible in all 19 meetings points of the building: the city of frankfurt. 19 dreams, concepts, sketches, illusions of the city are spread out in all meeting points. they shimmer like gentle ideas, manifesting as white reliefs on a white background.
always evading a concrete impression, they appear fleetingly in the twilight between light and shadow. only to reveal constantly changing details of the entirety, a perpetual synergy of time, perspective and movement.
