thematically "random signs" spans a wide spectrum from east asian calligraphy to the first, intuitive and uneducated daubing of young children. the blots or marks shift between planned design and chance. this ambivalence creates tension.

 

the characteristic formations symbolise dynamics and spontaneity as well as connotations to silhouette-like landscapes, flowing forms and abstract shapes. the open-minded observer discovers complex fantasy worlds. the colour fields can be a trigger for creative processes. they act as a catalyst for the subconsciousness.
