restaurant tim raue / "bitumen III" / spatial graphics

the settling was applied in the corporate colour of the restaurant

the graphic for the star chef tim raue and his new restaurant at the checkpoint charlie is the result of a series of free studies from 2006. the aim of the free studies was to take effect to the surrounding space, to oppose something – by black bitumen which has a chewy surface. the settling was applied in the corporate colour of the restaurant.

the base of this work is to give a different experience of place and room and to create new rooms insight one closed space

the base of this work is to give a different experience of place and room and to create new rooms insight one closed space. another intention was to suggest the physical and mental sense of gravity or mass with pure colour. another aim of this series was to create a nearly physical relationship.

for tim raue personally the spatial graphic reflects – also due to the pastose and spontaneous colour application – "a piece kreuzberg" of his youth.
